Terms and privacy, in plain words
This is a prototype and a draft. The final text will be reviewed by lawyers before launch; the substance below is what we intend to commit to.
Terms
- Non-custodial. FANZ never holds your keys or your money. Deposits go from your wallet to on-chain contracts you can read and verify. We cannot move, freeze or recover them.
- Withdrawals are always available for the full deposit, subject only to the yield source's liquidity (see Risks).
- No promises about prices. Creator coins and $FANZ can lose all value. Interest rates change. Nothing on this site is financial, legal or tax advice.
- Creators bind a jar to an account they control. Impersonation claims are handled by closing the jar and returning the pot to backers.
- Eligibility. Some jurisdictions restrict token launches or trading, and some venues we rely on (for example Pons) exclude residents of certain countries. You are responsible for checking whether you may use the service where you live; the final terms will list restricted regions.
- Software is provided as is. Contracts will be audited before launch and covered by a bug bounty; audits do not guarantee absence of bugs.
Privacy
- What goes on-chain: your wallet address, deposits, withdrawals and coin claims — public by nature of the blockchain. For creators: a hash of the platform account ID and the payout address. Never the link between a fan's wallet and a social account.
- What we store off-chain: for creators, the verification record (platform, account ID, timestamp) needed to issue the attestation; for everyone, standard server logs for security, kept briefly.
- What stays in your browser: conveniences such as the connected-wallet state and interface preferences, in local storage. No advertising trackers.
- Sign-in with X or YouTube is read-only and used once, to confirm the account ID. We do not post, follow or read messages.
- Requests. Creators can ask to close a jar opened in their name at any time; the pot returns to backers. Contact details will be published with the final policy.
